As we look forward to 2022, we remember the year that is quickly coming to a close and reflect on how much great tennis and community we’ve witnessed in 2021. There were many magical moments, from the opening of the Lisa & Douglas Goldman Tennis Center, to the return of historic Golden Gate Park tournaments, to the incredible Bryan Brothers weekend.

Thanks to the generosity, passion and dedication of so many of you, we transformed our beloved public tennis facility into the envy of the nation (and world!).

2021 magical moments include:

  • *The Lisa & Douglas Goldman Tennis Center (GTC) opens on March 3, 2021
  • *SF Rec & Park launches the Tennis & Learning Center (TLC) middle school program at GTC
  • *The SF Junior Championships and 120th SF Open return to Golden Gate Park
  • *The 3rd annual US Open Watch Party attracts hundreds of fans to cheer on champions
  • *Professional-level players dazzle the crowds at the KPSF Open
  • *The Bryan Brothers celebrate the first year at GTC with a weekend of on-court activities, including a free youth community clinic, and the Bryan Brothers Band rocks the night away!

In 2022 we are excited to keep the good times going at the Goldman Tennis Center and across the city, and to continue our work of building community and connection through our communications, advocacy and events. We are honored to be the community partner at GTC, and a philanthropic and volunteer partner for SF Rec & Park’s Tennis & Learning Center, which launched its middle school program this fall.

Your year-end gift will help continue the magic in 2022 and beyond.

Donations provide critical support so we can strengthen and protect public tennis in San Francisco, build a vibrant community at the Goldman Tennis Center, and help to advance youth tennis and equity.

We believe tennis:

  • *should be accessible to everyone
  • *can help young people become confident, skilled, and resilient adults
  • *creates strong and lasting communities which support physical and mental wellness
