2023 Host Committee Invitation

The Tennis Coalition of San Francisco (TCSF) is planning our biggest event of the year – the 5th Annual US OPEN Watch Party and Community Tennis Day – on September 9th. You have been a strong supporter of TCSF and the campaign for the Goldman Tennis Center. Would you now be a member of our Host Committee for the 2023 event?  Please join us!

Highlights of the event:

  • We will honor Phil Ginsburg with the first ever “Champion for Public Tennis” As General Manager of Recreation and Parks Phil has been a critical leader for the community and for tennis in San Francisco. He will be our inaugural champion.  Adding your name as a sponsor will be especially meaningful to him.

  • Goldman Tennis Center will soon receive a prestigious national award which we will announce at the Watch Party. This honor would not have been possible without your generous support – celebrate what we all have brought to life at GTC.

  • Saturday is Community Tennis Day – all are invited and hundreds of people will come to the Tennis Center!Lifetime staff will coach fast, fun activities on court for kids and families, there will be social and ‘challenge’ play opportunities for adults, a high-level exhibition match, Lou Maunupau bringing the heat as MC, and prizes!

  • Watch the US Open Women’s Final on the big screen. This year we are hanging the big screen inside GTC over Court 6 – it will be a great way to enjoy the match together!

Generous support from our host committee and sponsors will allow us to make the event free and open to the public, welcoming everyone to LOVE TENNIS/LOVE ALL.  Your support also acknowledges the gifted leadership of Phil Ginsburg, without whom the transformation of the tennis center in Golden Gate Park would not have happened. Finally, your support will help TCSF with our mission of advocating for and energizing public tennis in San Francisco.

We would appreciate your early leadership and ask that you DO IT SOON!  TCSF is partnering with the Golden Gate Open, an ATP/WTA Challenger 125 Level tournament to be held August 12-19 at the Taube Tennis Center at Stanford.  Watch Party host committee members will receive VIP tickets to the Golden Gate Open.  Be there to see the return of an exciting professional tournament to Northern California!

Please respond by August 25, 2023 to receive host committee benefits including listing in our materials. Levels and benefits are listed below – thank you for your consideration and support!
