Youth
Tennis & Learning Center
The Tennis & Learning Center (TLC) combines tennis instruction with academic support for students from underserved San Francisco communities.
SF Recreation & Park’s TLC program has served elementary students in the Western Addition, Chinatown, the Portola, and Bayview Hunters Point since 2014. Students who advance can continue at the GTC as middle schoolers, with a dedicated classroom, garden study space, and the new courts.
TCSF provides philanthropic and volunteer support to the middle-school program at GTC.
Advisory
Tennis Center Advisory Committee
The TCAC represents users of the Goldman Tennis Center and provides a community voice for the facility.
The TCAC is a volunteer advisory group sponsored by TCSF. It brings regular players’ needs and concerns to the center’s operator and SF Recreation & Park, and meets with them at least twice a year.
Court fees and lesson prices aren’t part of its role; those are set by SF Recreation & Park and the Board of Supervisors.
