About us
We launched the Tennis Coalition SF to strengthen public tennis in San Francisco with our signature project: the Campaign for Golden Gate Park Tennis Center. In partnership with SF Recreation & Park and the SF Parks Alliance, we raised $27 million to build a beautiful, state-of-the-art public tennis center that is accessible and affordable to all. The Lisa + Douglas Goldman Tennis Center opened to the public on March 3, 2021.
Our work
What we focus on
With the Goldman Tennis Center open, our work centers on three areas.
Supporting the GTC as the hub of public tennis
TCSF partners with Lifetime Activities and SF Recreation & Park to create community through competitive, recreational, and social events—including Grand Slam watch parties, the SF City Championships, book clubs, film screenings, and community tennis days.
Spotlighting youth tennis
We support youth development on and off the court as a community partner for SF Rec & Park’s Tennis & Learning Center program, the SF Junior Championships, and free community play days.
About the Tennis & Learning Center
Stewarding and protecting public tennis
We oversee the Tennis Center Advisory Committee, advocate for public-court users, and keep San Francisco’s tennis community informed through events, news, and our monthly newsletter.

TCSF is led by a volunteer board of San Francisco tennis players, coaches, and advocates.
