TLC classroom at GGPTC

Support middle school students in SF Rec & Park's Tennis & Learning Center program

Let's make sure the Tennis & Learning Center students at Golden Gate Park Tennis Center have the gear they need to succeed in the classroom and on the court.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, the Golden Gate Park Tennis Center renovation is moving full speed ahead and a beautiful new facility is on track for a fall 2020 grand opening.

We have raised $29 million so far, but still have $1 million left to reach our $30 million goal.

This final round of fundraising will support, in part, the equipment and gear needed by the middle school students in SF Rec & Park's Tennis & Learning Center program.

  • A $250 gift will provide a TLC middle schooler with a laptop for their personal academic enrichment while in the program.
  • A $500 gift will provide a TLC middle schooler with a laptop plus a backpack that includes a racquet and athletic apparel. It will also offset the cost of tennis equipment necessary to run the program.

Can we count on you to make a donation to ensure every TLC student has the tools they need to succeed in the classroom and on the courts?

Donations totaling $1,000 will be recognized on a permanent donor plaque in the Hall of Champions inside our beautiful new clubhouse. Learn more about donor recognition opportunities.

SF Rec & Park's Tennis & Learning Center improves youth outcomes by providing programs to San Francisco’s most underserved communities that promote academic achievement, health and wellness, and social/emotional development, through the sport of tennis.

We are well on our way to reaching the $30 million needed to renovate the 125-year-old “Cradle of Champions” and make it one of the best public tennis facilities in the nation. We continue to raise funds to protect against construction uncertainties, to support important programs like TLC that will have a home at GGPTC, and get a jump start on the critical maintenance fund to preserve this wonderful asset for future generations.
