Throughout the year the Lisa + Douglas Goldman Tennis Center in Golden Gate Park hosts a variety of recreational, competitive and social events that bring tennis enthusiasts together. Many of these events are hosted by the Tennis Coalition SF in partnership with SF Rec & Park, Lifetime Activities and USTA NorCal and are made possible with support from a generous grant from Taube Philanthropies.
We are excited to announce the return of two historic San Francisco tournaments -- the SF Open and SF Junior Tournament – where players of all ages have been testing their mettle for more than 100 years!
In July, the Goldman Tennis Center will host two junior events, an L7 Challenger and an L4 Excellence Tournament. Please note that these are Singles Only Tournaments.
The L7 Challenger will include boys and girls 12s and 14s and will be held on Monday, July 19. An L7 tournament is for intermediate players starting to play in junior competitive events. Players should have basic match experience and have completed a number of practice matches.
The L4 event will be boys and girls 16s and 18s and be held Tuesday-Friday, July 20-23. An L4 tournament attracts advanced and higher-ranked players.
